Hi! I'm Mikaela!
My favorite part of sports has always been being a part of the team. I was happier cheering from the sidelines than being on the field. I feared the moment my coach would put me in. My love and desire to stay on the sidelines pushed me to start taking photos at sports games. I found that my favorite position was behind the lens, so I decided to start an Instagram page titled, Mikaela Carroll Photography.
Over my time at BBP, I photographed hundreds of games, events, and concerts, and got hired for events outside of school and doing freelance. While always a phantom at heart, I took my talents to Clemson University, where I am currently a senior Graphic Communications major and minoring in Brand Communications.
I still don't know what caused me to steal my moms camera that day and bring it to my friends lacrosse game 6 years ago, but it changed my life forever. Being behind the camera became an escape for me, and still is where I feel the most at home, even when it brings me places far out of my comfort zone.
